Great place for family vacation
Double red flags and high winds kept us off the beach and in the house much of the week. With 6 adults and 4 children it was great to have so much room. The game room, multiple decks and levels of the house provided activities and privacy when needed. I only gave it 4 stars because of the nonfunctional ice maker in the kitchen refrigerator. After reporting the issue I was told that the parts were back ordered. If we had been told in advance we could have come prepared with bagged ice. We worked around it but advanced notice would have been helpful. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it although it would not be suitable for everyone. There are a lot of stairs. People unable to climb stairs and young children would have a difficult time here. The elevator is definitely worth the extra fee for getting to the main and second level. The third level is only accessible by stairs.

Expensive Disappointment
Unfortunately, you don't get a do-over for family vacations. THIS ONE was a huge disappointment. The issues with this house were enormous. The indoor pool is so cold it is useless. We were so deflated because we are a HUGE pool family. One of the really neat community pools was closed for repairs. The issues with the house: 2 ceiling fans in 2 different bedrooms did not work and wires were hanging from the ceiling in one bedroom. Two televisions did not work, 2 burners on the gas range did not work so we had 1/2 of a stove to cook for 10 people. The ice maker was broke. The ac quit working on day 2 and ac techs were at the house all day on day 3 along with tech for the range. The door to the screened in porch area was broke with the door open so this is not screened in. The hot tub was in operable. The hand held shower did not have a shower head and was inoperable. The sinks in the 3rd floor suite had draining issues. The electric outlets on the outside wall of the 4th floor suite were dead. The fridge in the bar area froze everything. Collins Vacation Rental did refund 30% of our vacation rental and were receptive to our concerns. My complaint is not against the management company but more toward the owner's of the property for the neglected condition of this rental. In my opinion it needs to be removed from "available" until all repairs are complete. This was an expensive vacation for so much disappointment. Renter BEWARE!

While we value your feedback we would like to say that no complaints nor issues had been reported before your stay by other guests. The issues above have been addressed as follows. The indoor pool is not advertised as being heated. We had no control over the Resort Village Community Pool being closed for repairs, the other community pool was open. The ceiling fans have been replaced. The televisions all work, we are on a barrier Island and unfortunately cable/internet is not always a guarantee. The self-ignition on two burners was broken, this has now been repaired. Both burners still would have manually lit. The ice maker has been repaired. The Air Conditioning Unit was repaired during your stay. The door to the screened in porch has been repaired. The shower head on the hand held shower has been replaced. The sinks in the 3^rd floor suite were snaked and no longer have draining issues. We found no issues with mini-fridge in the bar area and have had no other complaints. St. George Island is located in a rural area, meaning many of the issues you experienced could not have been addressed during your stay, which is why you were more than fairly compensated in the amount of $3,975.00, which is a 30% reimbursement.
